A Recap Of My Trip

Hi there!! It has been so long (~2 months) since I have posted anything on here!! That is sad!! Well, I wanted to show off what I have been doing over summer and luckily something interesting happened. We were able to cruise aboard the Carnival Legend where we ended up visiting Florida, Belieze, Honduras, and The Cayman Islands. What a wonderful trip. There was food busting at the seams on this ship!! Many people were from the Mid-west, South, and East Coast aboard. In fact, there were probably only a hand full of people from the West. Boo!!!
Anyways, here are some pictures from the trip. Enjoy. :)

A Italian Restaurant
This really was not special, but the layout of the whole restaurant was just amazing to me. Haha. This just shows my limited exposure to luxury.

Altunha - Mayan Ruins (Belize)
It was a great experience. We were able to climb on top of one and take pictures.
The Cayman Islands (George-something)

It had beautiful water where you could see the fish...those two white boats were our transportation back and forth the ship. The water was too shallow and full or coral to 'park' it on the shore.

A Beach at George-something

This was the best beach ever. The water was warm and the sand was white. What says typical tourist area then this?

A Random Moment (Florida)

A little random pic taken when my family and I were huddled together enjoying the Florida weather...in the shade of course!! Haha. It was humid here. I will never forget that.

My Breakfast

Hi again!! Cheers to a new update!! Spring semester is over and I'm back home, but I would still like to try and capture things around the house and my hometown. I am also planning on taking summer classes for some reviewing. Awesome, huh?

Today I am posting a picture of my breakfast. I cooked french toast using this recipe. (Click on this) It turned out great and it did not turn out soggy unlike my failed attempt yesterday. I am proud of this one seeing that it captures the dish's presentation. However, I did notice that there is a bit of a blur and I feel disappointed in not being able to keep the camera steady. I do not have a tripod at the moment, but maybe it is time to save up for one-even if it's a cheap one.

Late Post!!!

It has been a looong time since I last posted. Sorry!! I am posting up three more pictures and I hope you like them.
The Chocolate
Yum. The chocolate looks great!! I have yet to eat them because I am still hoping to take some more pictures of all the other chocolate pieces. This shot was actually taken in the laundry room of my dorm. Shocking, huh? At first I was taking pictures without the laundry lights on and windows open but I realized that it definately did not help capture the colors and texture of the chocolate. The lighting can be improved seeing that the only light sources were from above and one side from the window. I believe I took this around 3:30-4:00 PM. I hope next time to get a better shot of them next time.

Chocolate Box
This is a shot were the only source of light was from the windows. I know its not the most glamourous lighting, but it was a test shot and I still like it. It was taken around the same time as the photo above.

The Swamp

This is a photo of 'the swamp' as everyone calls it in the courtyard that our school needs to fix up sometime. I really like this pond. They need to restore this pond because it will add a nice little touch to the place. Imagine...small orange, yellow, and white goldfish swimming in circles with a fountain in the middle squirting out water into the air creating ripples on the surface. Nice, huh? The sky was gray this day and it would have been great if it was sunny.

Small post!!!...

Uh oh...I am not on the ball today. I tried taking some pictures and it did not turn out as great as I hoped. I only have two pictures here. These were taken around 3:00 pm and there was way too much light out. I love how it reflected off the table and rail just right.

The largest post...

I must say this will be the LARGEST post yet! Haha. It is not really a big accomplishment, but it is something to keep my 'foot in the door' regarding posts and the small amount I post. (haha. Two extra photos)
The Piano Keys
This is one of my favorites out of the post. This may seem like a ordinary picture of piano keys...but I find pianos beautiful...in fact I dare to post some music up. I will do it after this post. Anyways, it was sprinkling outside and the skys were gray, but the soft light which filtered through the blinds behind the old piano and hit the piano keys just right.

Ah...the old fireplace. In comparison to the newer and cheap carpet and tacky furniture this place glowed like a gem. I saw it not just as old brick area where people would put wood in for warmth and atmosphere, but a place that held history. I love the texture the camera was able to capture.

Flowers! I saw these flowers and immediately thought I should take a shot. I wish I could have adjusted some of the brightness, but who could resist flowers with sprinkles of rain on them? ...just beautiful...

This is a funny picture. I think I took it because it seemed like this was almost in the center of the ground of the courtyard where it was barren. I feel like it should be called, "A pile of crap". Haha.

This picture is just another shot from last time. I forgot to post it and once again, I love the angle.

Even more photos!

Hi again! Welcome! I have posted up two more pictures and this time it is from the courtyard near the St. Francis Court which is in close proximity to Brennen hall. These were taken around the 5:00-5:30PM range.

The Walkway
This was a test of arial prospective I guess would be the word to describe it. I like the angle which added a little something to the otherwise common picture. The light which attempted to diffuse through the trees provided a sense of relaxation for me.
The Little Seedling
This picture was actually a test, I saw the lighting and it seemed like it was time to take advantage of the ethereal light. I must say that it did not turn out very bad at all. I believe that my camera did a very good capturing of the sort of spotlight focusing on the little seedling.

Some more photos...

These photos were taken near the library and fincial resources office. I attempted to grab a nice shot using a very low perspective on both of these photos. I hope you enjoy them!! :]
In this photo near the administrative offices, I immediately stopped walking once I saw the stepping stones. I saw the possibilities - "now if only I could capture it" was my thought. After several failed attempts, I believe this one was able to barely tap my goal. Next time I will go to a even lower level of perspective.
This picture reminded me of a forest. I was specifically attempting to catch the view of a runaway hamster or rodent looking up. I found that after a few shots, i had captured the quiet serenity of this area near the financial aid office.
